Sharmila Seth

CEO & FOUNDER, PURPOSE DRIVEN LEGACY CONSULTING

Sharmila Seth is the founder of Purpose Driven Legacy Consulting (PDLC), established in spring 2024. PDLC offers personalized philanthropic advisory and management services to high-net-worth individuals, families, foundations, and organizations seeking to create lasting impact through strategic charitable giving.

PDLC builds upon Sharmila’s longstanding commitment to social impact, particularly through her work with Children Across Borders (CAB)—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit she co-founded in 2011. CAB supports underserved children worldwide by partnering with grassroots organizations to provide annual grants for impactful programs in education, healthcare, shelter, and wellness. To date, CAB has granted over $2.85 million to fifteen sustainable initiatives across the United States and India.

A resident of Tampa for over 20 years, Sharmila brings a rich background in human capital development. Prior to relocating from New York City—where she spent 12 years studying and building her career—Sharmila gained extensive experience in human resources, talent management, leadership development, performance management, and change communications. She has held roles at top-tier firms including Korn Ferry International, Sibson & Company, and Razorfish, Inc.

Sharmila holds a B.B.A. in Business Administration from Bernard M. Baruch College (City University of New York) and an MSc. in Social and Organizational Psychology from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Beyond her professional endeavors, Sharmila is deeply passionate about the arts. She served on the Board of Trustees of the Tampa Museum of Art for six years and continues to contribute as a member of its Collections Committee. She is also the Chief Growth Officer and Board Member at Tampa City Ballet, reflecting her lifelong passion for dance.

In her free time, Sharmila enjoys tennis, padel, yoga and Pilates, hiking, and traveling the world.

 

She has been honored as an “Extraordinary Woman” by Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine and recognized by Positive Impact Magazine as an “Infinity Star”, among numerous other accolades celebrating her global contributions to children's causes.

Isabel Conroy was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to the USA in 2003. Isabel has two kids; her son, Liam, is a Tampa Jesuit grad and is currently on a football scholarship at Rhodes College. Her daughter, Bella, is a senior at Plant High School and aspires to play soccer or flag football in college.

Isabel has a degree in Interactive Media Design from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She also earned her grant writing certificate at The University of Notre Dame. Over the years, Isabel has been a noteworthy creative contributor at work. She speaks four languages, and her exposure to different cultures allowed her to grow personally and professionally. Her diverse background, ability to adapt, and versatility are her most valuable assets. Through her varied professional experiences, she has demonstrated the power and agility to adapt and succeed in various positions and industries in America and internationally. She was greatly honored to be part of the steering committee at the charitable organization Children's Across Borders' first black tie gala - Bollywood Nights and supports the organization's social media platforms.

She is driven by helping her colleagues and takes pride in providing excellence at her work. She is a positive contributor in her endeavors and has been specifically noted for her extraordinary commitment to helping others.

She currently resides in Tampa, FL. Her hobbies include triathlon, yoga, tennis, pickleball, and taekwondo. She believes and finds fulfillment in being part of cultivating and sustaining PDL Consulting's platform for philanthropic service.
